Nicholas and I were eating lunch when he looked up and said, "Knock, knock."
Now everybody knows that Andrew, his older brother, is really the knock-knock specialist of the family. But I also know that Nicholas wants to do everything that Andrew does, so I can't say I'm surprised that he's starting to tell them too. However, sports fans, let's remember that the joke teller is only two and a half, so I couldn't quite believe he was giving comedy a try.
"Knock, knock," Nicholas said again.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Orange," he replied, pointing to his juice box.
"Orange Who?" I asked.
"Apple!!" and he started laughing hysterically.
Well, it's a start.

Hey! It is a good response. After all, he already shows an understanding that humor is based on the unexpected. Way to go Nicholas!
Watch out Jerry Senfield....
Grandma
That's better then Kerry's standard "I pick your nose," which is guaranteed a laugh from her brother.
