Marathon Mum. Marathon Man. Get the joke? Both feature obsessiveness, shady characters from Europe, lots of running, and most notably, torture. This online journal began as I trained for the 2005 London Marathon. I successfully finished the race, but MarathonMum lives on. After all, life as a mother isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.
Thanks guys! Every year I think two critical things: 1. That I've figured out a way to make it easier and less time consuming. It never works out that way. 2. I always have several moments thinking, "Why in the world do I go to all this trouble?" But this year, while I was putting the signs outside, someone I didn't know stopped me and said, "You've really outdone yourself this year. It's even better than last year," which made it all worthwhile.

Oh Maureen, this looks absolutely fantastic! I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh next time we come to Greenwich.
Stunning
